I have a real person name, but for the sake of my writing, feel free to call me John. Growing up on the creepypastas, and obscure humor of early Youtube, you could say I was a bit of a weird kid. Never the butt of a joke or anything, but often my jokes would fall on deaf ears or get weird looks. I think it was around later high school when I found a series called, “I Ride For Cerber.” NaturesTemper did the narration, and you can still find it with a quick Youtube search. It was a horror comedy by mofucious over on Reddit, and I found it hilarious. The combination of comedy with serious storytelling really scratched that itch I’d been looking for. That’s what got me into narrating, which I still do from time to time, generally for my own works.

Time went by and a guy messaged me about narrating his series he was working on. I was still new to narrating so I went for it. The audio quality isn’t great, but it was fun. The series was “The Hunter” by TeeStache. It was his first series, and he and I are still friends to this day because of that interaction.

Once I’d gotten a few parts into his story, I started talking with him about an idea I had for a story, he told me to go for it, and I did. Which launched my initial draft for “My Roommate is Slenderman.” I posted it on reddit part by part with no revisions, and to this day, that first draft is probably my second worst series. BUT, I have revised it since, and while it’s by no means my best work, it’s certainly better, and you can find it here on my website in the blog section, along with other connected and non-connected stories of varying genres.

Why I’m Here

I originally started on Reddit as stated before. But the restrictions from subreddit to subreddit were too strict, I found it constraining to have to write my stories around arbitrary rules. So here I am, starting my own website so I can write whatever I want.
